Branding and campaign for the Inner West Multicultural Network.

COLLABORATIVE BRAND + CAMPAIGN STRATEGY

Through UTS Shopfront, a group of student designers were connected with the Inner West Multicultural Network to help redefine their brand strategy. The brief that was presented fell under two sections:

  1. Branding: the aim was to inform network members of the renewed presence of IWMN as a merged interagency, as well as highlight the of the existence of the Network and their services to the community;

  2. Anti-Racism Campaign: born from an excess influx of stories regarding racially geared confrontations as a result of COVID-19, the aim is to raise awareness and to encourage allyship as well as intervention.

This brief was completed by a team of female designers: Lilly Mills, Katherine Chen, Jane Dareepatr, Tyla Camino and Katerina Coudounaris.

Part 1: Branding

Inner West Multicultural Network
Inclusion. Respect. Diversity. Community.

It’s what the Inner West Multicultural Network are all about.

To communicate the idea of interconnectedness and unity, we conceived the idea of using weaving storylines in the logo and brand motion graphics.

To help introduce some colour and variety to the new branding, it was decided that five bright colours would be adopted. The Network will be able to assign colours to different departments as a means of internal organisation whilst still maintaining a cohesive brand identity.

Additional colours could also be added as the organisation grows in future.
